Dear Valley Ward Members,

Valley and Larkswood Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) officers attended Chingford & Highams Park Synagogue, 81a Marlborough Road, London E4 9AJ, to carry out a reassurance patrol in and around the venue.

The visit took place during Shavuot, a significant and deeply meaningful two-day Jewish festival marking the completion of the 49-day Counting of the Omer and commemorating the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. This important time brings the community together for prayer, reflection, study, and celebration at the synagogue.

Officers maintained a visible and approachable presence throughout, offering reassurance and support to members of the community as they arrived and departed from services. Engagement with attendees helped strengthen positive relationships and foster a strong sense of trust and community cohesion during this important religious occasion.

The presence of local officers contributed to a welcoming and safe environment, allowing worshippers to focus on their celebrations with peace of mind.
